Creative play is a form of meditation and an impactful wellness practice, the benefits of which are backed by scientific studies. Studies also show that everyone is creative, it just requires exercise. Just as working out at the gym develops a fit body, being creative develops a “fit” brain.
"Creativity is not a rare ability," writes legendary music producer Rick Rubin, "It is not difficult to access. Creativity is a fundamental aspect of being human. It's our birthright. And it's for all of us." We wholeheartedly agree and would add that the time put in results in boundless personal reward. Being creative is about the process, not the end result and even a quick creative activity can have impact, and when repeated regularly can be transformative. Participating in daily creative play will also expand creativity in other areas of your life.
